Position Summary & Responsibilities
- Monitoring, supporting and troubleshooting the operation of black utilities (e.g., compressed air, chilled water, plant steam, etc.) and clean utilities (e.g., purified water, WFI, clean steam).
- Troubleshooting and responding to issues with HVAC systems, coordinating with maintenance and external vendors as needed.
- Performing various preventive maintenance tasks on a wide variety of GMP and non-GMP production and facilities equipment such as, clean in place, purified water, water for injection, clean steam, waste neutralization, mechanical refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, HVAC, pump, process tank systems, and measuring (indicating and recording) and test equipment, autoclave, depyrogenation oven, parts washing, isolator, walk-in cooler, filling and capping, and chromatography equipment.
- Responsible for daily operational checks which may include maintaining, repairing, lubricating, inspecting, cleaning and testing of equipment.
- Monitor and respond to system failures, alarms, and abnormal site conditions by taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide on-the-floor presence during shift to quickly identify, assess, and address facility or equipment-related issues.
- Coordinate with day-shift supervisors for shift handovers and issue tracking.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards during all operations and repairs.
- Log, track, and document facility issues and corrective actions in relevant systems.
- Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
- Enables and supports the Compliance Coordinator to effectively manage the progression of Deviations, Change Requests and CAPAs as well as providing data on training compliance, and SOP revision.
- Recommend improvements to increase system reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform all work in accordance with SOPs, and GMP and Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and local codes.
- Legibly, accurately, and in detail, document work performed on work order reports.
- Determine impact of required work, communicates, performs, coordinates, and/or supervises major repairs with other facilities staff/contractor and users to minimize service interruptions.
- Inspects third party repairs and / or rebuilds for adherence to requirements and the quality of work.
- Follow all safety protocols, perform risk assessments, and support initiatives to promote a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple and shifting priorities.
- Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include shift work and weekends to support operating schedules, facility requirements, and / or respond to call-in emergency situations.
Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong hands on experience and working knowledge of plant utilities and HVAC systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work independently during off-hours with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, and P&IDs.
- Ability to work with technical software and systems, including Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Positive, and flexible frame of mind, to react to demanding situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5 – 10 years related hands-on experience with process equipment and building services preferably in Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industry. and being familiar with GMP manufacturing requirement.
- Experience generating traceable documentation for use in GMP environments
- Experience with processing, filling and packaging equipment.
- Experience in a cGMP environment.
- Industrial Millwright (433A) license and/or equivalent working equipment in maintenance field will be considered
- Industrial Electrician (442A) license.
This position may also include the following conditions
- Pre-employment medical and medical re-examination; inclusive of eye examination, performed every 2 years or as per RESILIENCE’s SOPs. Included as part of the medical is a respirator fit test (half mask), and pulmonary function test
- This position requires vaccination for Hepatitis A and B
- Gown qualified for Sterile operations in Class A/B clean rooms
- Job requires shift work including weekends, and occasional extended shifts

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $70,000.00 - $118,750.00 per year.
