Job Description

Air Transat is transforming its Maintenance Control Center. As part of Air Transat's world-class Integrated Operation Center, MCC is the focal point of communication for all maintenance activities. It oversees all aspects of Maintenance Operation Control and represents all Technical Operations departments within the airline. MCC maintains liaison with production, engineering, planning, QA, flight ops, to name a few.

The Maintenance Control Center uses advanced technological systems to perform its duties and is in the process of incorporating more of these systems.

You will develop troubleshooting, management skills, and knowledge of aircraft and maintenance systems, processes, and regulations. Responsibilities

• Perform technical dispatch on all aircraft using the AMOS system and other sources, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Review and approve MEL deferrals proposed by maintenance technicians or pilots.
• Review fleet condition, inform all IOC departments, and plan for return to optimal conditions.
• Manage all AOG or delays, ensuring resources are available for quick aircraft return to service, and keep management informed.
• Maintain liaison with engineering, planning, QA, flight ops, and other related departments.
• Produce reports on aircraft status, MEL, Cabin items, Watch items, etc., to inform management on fleet conditions and KPIs.
• Provide technical support to technicians or pilots.
• Chair daily technical operations meetings to follow up on deferred items and plan repairs.

Qualifications

• Hold a Licence of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2 (Avionic or Mechanic).
• Possess at least ten (10) years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make informed, firm, and precise decisions with good judgment and leadership.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of disseminating information clearly in ambiguous situations.
• Demonstrates interpersonal flexibility.
• Ability to work effectively in a team under stress.
• Proficient in multitasking and adaptable to changing environments.
• Bilingual in French and English; Spanish or another language is a plus.
• Good organizational skills, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office, AMOS).
• Flexible hours according to operational needs.

Additional Information

• Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec, with frequent communication in English.
