Job Description

The Supervisor, Maintenance coordinates and supervises the Mechanics, Avionics, Sheet Metal workers, Interior Mechanics and other Maintenance classifications under his authority.

Main Responsibilities

• Encourage employees to follow departmental goals.
• Ensure maintenance on aircraft conforms to MCM/MPM and Manufacturer’s manuals; review all maintenance logs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to provide aircraft ready for scheduled departures.
• Recommend safety training or procedures to enhance performance and reliability.
• Monitor and report absenteeism, tardiness, or non-performance of personnel.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards discipline in cooperation with the Line Maintenance Manager.
• Coordinate with other bases within Maintenance for effective defect control follow-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• College diploma in aircraft maintenance engineering or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of experience as a certified technician.
• Experience with aircraft types in Air Transat's fleet.
• Knowledge of AMOS.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Lead hand experience is a plus.
• Current Air Transat Aircraft Endorsement.
• Transport Canada Maintenance License.
