The Claims Supervisor is accountable for:
  • Managing unit operations, providing leadership and guidance to claims staff to achieve unit objectives.
  • Collaborating with claims peers to deliver objectives.
  • Delivering superior client service, employee engagement, controlling expenses, resource planning, and people management.
  • Managing staffing levels, human resources, productivity, operational processes, and communication for the unit.
How You Will Create Impact
  • Create a client service culture and embed client engagement into the claims operation.
  • Coach and inspire staff to grow, develop skills, and plan for succession.
  • Handle human resource activities including performance objectives, management, recognition, and career development.
  • Manage workflows, productivity, standards, and processes ensuring adherence to practices and procedures.
  • Enhance operational processes for consistent claims service delivery and continuous improvements.
  • Lead change management and foster a positive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of disability claims case management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or Disability Management.
  • Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation.
  • Expertise in disability claims management practices and group disability insurance contracts.
  • Proficiency in English for servicing, communication, drafting documents, and reporting.
