Job summary

Holman, a global automotive leader, invites applications for a Supervisor, Accounts Payable role in Mississauga. You will lead a team of 11 AP administrators processing over CAD$1.34B annually and oversee P&L of CAD$30mm as a vital revenue generator.

You will coach top performers, drive efficiency with IT, ensure accurate payments, and support audits while maintaining strong vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years' relevant experience with a proven track record of strong team leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 11 Accounts Payable administrators handling over CAD$1.34B in payments annually.
  • Own P&L responsibility for over CAD$30mm as a key revenue-generating department.
  • Provide coaching to high-performers and promote internal growth.
  • Analyze and provide ad hoc reporting for Management as required.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement efficiencies and revenue-generators.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and respond to audit requests.
  • Maintain controls to prevent duplicate payments and manage vendor relationships.
  • Support audit procedures and testing as needed.

What will you do?
  • Develop your skills and reach your potential by being a part of an exceptional team of professionals, committing to stepping outside your comfort zone, and learning this sector of the automotive industry.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to team of 11 Accounts Payable administrators that process more than CAD$1.34B of payments each year.
  • P&L responsibility of over CAD$30mm and integral member of a key revenue-generating department, as Holman is a business-to-business service provider.
  • Coach and develop high-performers to take on more responsibility and new roles throughout the organization.
  • Analyze and provide ad hoc reporting for Management, as required.
  • Work closely with IT to implement additional revenue-generators and departmental efficiencies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
  • Assist with audit requests and testing procedures.
  • Relationship management with ARI's key network of vendor partners.
  • Develop and maintain the appropriate controls to ensure that payments are made accurately and that there are no duplicate payments.
What are we looking for?
  • Excellent people, leadership, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • 3+ year's relevant experience with a proven track record of strong team leadership

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $99,490.00 - $141,770.00 CAD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
