Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Supervisor of Accounting Receivable & Collections to lead a portion of our Accounting department, focusing on safety, continuous improvement, relationship building, communication, strategic thinking, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise accounting staff, including accounts receivable and credit.
  2. Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable subledger and invoicing.
  3. Maintain accurate reporting and control procedures for installation revenue/expenses.
  4. Create and maintain internal control procedures.
  5. Participate in inventory count reviews and implement corrective actions if needed.
  6. Maintain GL and subsidiary ledgers through journal entries.
  7. Review, approve, and prepare reconciliations and audit/tax schedules.
  8. Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  9. Analyze financial results and explain variances.
  10. Support operations and communicate with the GM.
  11. Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
  12. Support processes for tax and audit readiness.
  13. Liaise with tax partners for proper transaction treatment.
  14. Develop and test internal controls.
  15. Collaborate across departments to maintain proper accounting practices.
  16. Assist in monitoring financial performance and budgeting.
  17. Provide backup support for other accounting staff.
  18. Promote company values and continuous improvement initiatives.
  19. Participate in training and team activities.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
  2. Experience with financial software; JD Edwards preferred.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  4. Adaptability and performance in changing environments.
  5. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Conflict management and team collaboration skills.
  8. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
