Job summary

Hall Mechanical Services is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee multiple projects and lead high-performing on-site teams. The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely completion across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the Metro Vancouver area.

You will report to the Field Operations Manager and drive project management, scheduling, and cost controls while mentoring Site Supervisors and coordinating with clients and trades to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years progressive experience in mechanical construction or related field.
  • Hydronic experience in heating and cooling is an asset.
  • Proven track record managing multiple large projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, plus codes and safety regulations.
  • Journeyman or Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade; PMP or P.Eng is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Site Supervisors, Foremen, and staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with safety teams to enforce safety policies on site.
  • Oversee pre-planning and review designs for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Address delays proactively to minimize losses and ensure quality.

Are you a hardworking Mechanical Superintendent eager to lead a crew and advance your career?

Hall Mechanical is looking for a driven and experienced Mechanical Superintendent to take charge of multiple projects and lead our high-performing teams to success!

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • You possess extensive experience in mechanical construction and excel in planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Your attention to detail ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • You thrive on building positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • You are safety-focused, proactive, and always seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.

As aMechanical Superintendent, you’ll report to the Field Operations Manager and oversee multiple projects, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Your day will include:

  • Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure success.
  • Leading and mentoring Site Supervisors, Foremen, and staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborating with safety teams to enforce and enhance company safety policies.
  • Conducting project pre-planning and reviewing designs for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Addressing job and schedule delays proactively to minimize losses.
  • Overseeing quality control and assurance to maintain Hall’s reputation for excellence.
  • Representing Hall Mechanical at site meetings and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction or a related field.
  • Hydronic experience in heating, cooling, mechanical rooms, grooved, victaulic and cast iron experience. (considered and asset).
  • Proven track record in managing multiple large-scale projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, as well as building codes and safety regulations.
  • Journeyman or Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade (e.g., plumbing, gas fitting); PMP or P.Eng considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and processes, including RFIs, change orders, and Site Docs.

    • Boom/Scissor Lift
    • Forklift
