Job summary

Hall Mechanical Services Inc. invites a skilled Mechanical Foreman to lead a crew on residential multi-unit and commercial projects. You’ll mentor journeymen and apprentices, manage installs, and ensure safety and quality. A proactive problem-solver who drives costs savings will thrive here.

You will oversee coordination of trades, maintain schedules, and ensure compliance with codes while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • 5 years as Mechanical Foreman or Lead Hand on residential multi-unit or commercial sites.
  • Red Seal Plumber Certification is required.
  • Ability to lead crews of 10+ journeymen and apprentices.
  • Strong organizational skills and safety focus.

Hall Mechanical is looking for an experienced Mechanical Foreman with Residential Multi unit and commercial experience looking for someone like you to join their rapidly growing team!

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you’ll harness your exceptional organizational and leadership skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in driving projects forward! Your role as Mechanical Foreman will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a crew of 10+ Journeymen and Apprentice Plumbers, organizing and maintaining scheduled installations of building mechanical systems.
  • Overseeing the installation of all materials, equipment, and systems proficiently to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Performing quality control inspections to exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Planning and coordinating sub-trades, identifying efficiencies and cost‑savings to maximize project success.
  • Supervising workers and projects, arranging training sessions, and coordinating manpower scheduling with the developer/general contractor.
  • Accurately completing and submitting all necessary paperwork, such as HSE reporting, 3-week lookaheads, and QA/QC.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Foreman or in a Lead Hand role on residential multi-unit or commercial sites.
  • Hydronic experience in heating, cooling, mechanical rooms, grooved, victaulic and cast iron experience. (considered and asset).
  • Red Seal Plumber Certification.
  • Positive and driven leader with experience managing small teams and projects.
  • Proficiency in plumbing installations, plumbing code, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding and exposure to industry safe work practices (safety is a priority for us!).
  • Outstanding time and project management skills to complete work on time and within budget, along with a self‑motivated attitude to maintain productivity without supervision.
  • Reliable and dependable team player that shows up on time.
  • Tech‑savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and technology.
  • You bring solutions to any roadblock that comes up on the job.

  • Relevant and local construction industry experience.
  • Additional certifications or training relevant to the role including:
    • First Aid
    • Fall Protection
    • Gas Fitter
    • Boom/Scissor Lift
    • Forklift
