Job summary

Hall Mechanical Services Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Plumber for a full-time, permanent role in Coquitlam, BC. You will perform plumbing installations, read drawings, and support on-site safety and efficiency within a collaborative team.

The role reports to the site foreman and emphasizes quality workmanship. The ideal candidate holds a valid Journeyman ticket, has 4-5 years in plumbing, and demonstrates a strong commitment to safe practices.

Qualifications

• Registered Journeyman Plumber.
• Basic security clearance and a clean drivers abstract.
• 4-5 years of plumbing industry experience is an asset.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in plumbing installations.
• Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to safety practices.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Complete administrative duties and on-site reporting to foreman.
• Install materials, equipment and systems as directed by site supervisor.
• Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Communicate efficiencies or cost-saving measures to maximize project success.
• Work safely and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Foster professional relationships and represent Hall Mechanical well.

Your day-to-day will look like:

• Demonstrate proficiency in plumbing installations.
• Goal driven, task orientated.

• Report directly to site foreman/supervisor.
• Complete assigned job in a professional, cooperative and productive manner.
• Communicate to the Site Foreman/Supervisor any efficiencies or cost saving measures to maximize project success. To work in a safe and timely manner and report to the Site Foreman/Supervisor any inability to do so.
• Install all materials, equipment and systems in a proficient and correct manner as directed by the Site Supervisor.
• Read and interpret drawings/schematics and specifications as required.
• General plumbing installations.
• Maintain an excellent attitude.
• Complete projects on time and on budget.
• Foster and grow relationships.
• Professional in both appearance and action.
• Self-motivated and the ability to maintain productivity without supervision.
• Set goals and drive their completion.

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

• Registered Journeyman Plumber.
• Basic security clearance, clean drivers abstract.
• 4-5 years of experience in the plumbing industry, considered an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Experienced in Safely working in and around construction sites.
• Knowledge and skills of industry standard safe work practices.
• Hydronic experience in heating, cooling, mechanical rooms, grooved, victaulic and cast iron experience. (considered and asset)
