Job summary

MNP is a leading Canadian accounting and advisory firm. This Summer Student, Assurance and Accounting, based in Swift Current, provides support across compilations, audits, bookkeeping and tax for a 4-month term from May 2027 to August 2027.

You will work with a diverse team to deliver tailored financial information, gain exposure to IFRS/GAAP/ASPE, and interact with clients while developing technical skills and professional judgment in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with accounting/finance focus.
• Working towards CPA PEP prerequisites.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is a plus.
• Previous accounting office experience and customer service experience are assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files and conduct inventory counts.
• Perform accounts payable/receivable, payroll walkthroughs and client interactions.
• Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, P&L and related reports.
