Job summary

MNP is seeking a Summer Student for 2027 (May 3–Aug 27) with opportunities across Biggar/Rosetown/Plenty, Regina, and Brandon/Winnipeg regions. You will gain hands-on experience in precision agronomy, working with a diverse team on field scouting, data collection, and trial analysis this summer.

This role supports senior agronomists and emphasizes practical learning in real-world settings. Ideal candidates are enrolled in post-secondary education, possess a valid Class 5 license, and are

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education; agriculture is preferred but not required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Duties require independent work within a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
• Perform plant stand counts & VR crop assessments.
• Perform research trial analysis and data collection.
• Participate in and help organize crop tours and attend industry agronomy/product tours throughout the summer.
• Work with an experienced Agronomist to convey key information from the field to customers.
