Job summary

Simplot Canada (II) Limited in Meadow Lake, SK seeks an Agronomy Intern to support day-to-day operations during peak season and transition into agronomy duties later in the season. The role offers hands-on experience in seed treatment, inventory, product movement, and field scouting within the Simplot Grower Solutions team.

Enrollment in post-secondary education is required, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to work in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Retail Operations: assist in coordinating and executing product movement and organization.
• Load/unload of product from customers and suppliers.
• Assist operations during busy season and serve customers as needed.
• Treat seed as required.
• Conduct inventory counts twice a week.
• Complete loadout tickets for customers on every transaction.
• Maintain clean and tidy yard.
• Role shadowing and development; participate in training programs.
• Agronomist Intern Scouting Program: crop scouting in designated fields; coordinate with agronomists; track scouts using AgWorld.
• AgPROVE Trial Program: assist with applying, scouting, or capturing data from trial fields; assist in field days and tours.
