Job summary

Tundra Oil & Gas Limited, based in Manitoba, is seeking Summer Student Operators for the Virden region. You will perform daily well checks, inspect pipelines and leases, and assist with testing wells and logging results.

Roles run May through August 2027 and require post-secondary enrollment and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include safety compliance, equipment inspection, data recording, and collaboration with the Production Foreman to ensure smooth operations across sites in

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to achieve certification in H2S Alive, First Aid/ CPR, ATV Safety, WHMIS, TDG.
• Must reside within a 45-minute drive of the assigned field.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily well checks by inspecting equipment to ensure it runs properly.
• Inspecting flow lines from the oil well.
• Maintaining clean, hazard-free lease, batteries, and work areas.
• Testing wells by obtaining volumes, samples, and gas readings, inputting results into the Production Volume Reporting program.
• Measuring pressures, temperatures, flow rates; checking storage capabilities.
• Performing pigging on pipelines; monitoring chemical circulations.
• Reporting spills, near misses, and completing hazard IDs.
• Maintaining good relations with landowners and keeping assigned vehicle clean.
• Attending Safety and Operator Meetings.
