Job summary

Strathcona Resources Ltd., headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a contract Field Operator to join our team near Macklin, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will reside within 45 km of Macklin and report to the Lead Operator, performing surveillance and maintenance to ensure maximum production while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

This role requires 3+ years in field operations across oil and gas sites, with strong knowledge of safety procedures and plant operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct related experience in field operations.
• Experience in field operating both oil and gas producing properties, as well as mechanical, instrument & electrical experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logbooks with legible, time stamped entries.
• Issue Safe Work Agreements in the assigned area.
• Direct maintenance activities and ensure work is completed according to Strathcona procedures and work standards.
• Provide coaching and training to other employees as needed.
• Provide leadership during emergency situations or maintenance activities.
• Operate in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations at all times.
• Write, review, and revise Operations Procedures.
• Report deficiencies, initiate MOCs, and enter work orders.
• Willing to train and work in all operating positions in both the plant and field.
• Keep areas clean and meet/exceed company standards.
