Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking Suite Attendants to deliver premium guest service at events in Edmonton. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure suites are well-stocked and tidy throughout events.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and a willingness to engage guests. Flexibility for evenings, holidays, and weekends is needed for events and hospitality shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, suite attendant, or related role.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing personality with ability to host and engage guests.

• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures.
• Ability to obtain Compass and provincial alcohol service certifications.
• Constant standing and walking; physical lifting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and serve food and beverages per guest requests.
• Ensure suites are stocked and presentable before and during events.
• Replenish food and beverage during events as needed.
• Adhere to alcohol service policies and check guest IDs.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and offerings.
• Provide elevated guest service and anticipate needs.
• Clean and reset service areas after events and manage equipment.

Job description

Suite Attendants are responsible for taking customer orders and serving food and beverage according to customer requests.Suite Attendants provide a premium guest service experience by escalating and/or resolving any issues or special requests made by the guests in the suite(s). Essential functions and responsibilitiesof the position may vary by location based on client requirementsand business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures suites are stocked with proper food, beverage, and product before and during event based on IDH standards and suite holders' orders
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of suite and food service areas during event
• Replenishes food and beverage product during event upon guests' requests
• Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests' identification
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings
• Provides an elevated level of customer service, anticipating guests' needs
• Breaks down and cleans food service areas and equipment post event; returns equipment to proper storage area
• Inventories product at the end of each event
• Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Compass safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Previous experience as a server, suite attendant, or other related role required
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates an outgoing personality and has no concerns hosting and creating conversation with guests
• Demonstrates a can-do attitude and is a team player
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
• Must be able to obtain all Compass and provincial required alcohol service certifications
• Requires constant standing and walking
• Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends
