Chinook’s Edge School Division is looking to hire a full time Success Coach position in the community of Carstairs. Focus of work will be from Kindergarten to grade 9. This position is based in the Carstairs Elementary School and Hugh Sutherland School. Candidates must have the skills and energy to connect with this age demographic, be highly charismatic, and willing to be playful and engaging while creating an inclusive and caring atmosphere. Preference will be given to applicants who have direct experience working with youth and who are comfortable with facilitating classroom programming.
Start date is January 26, 2026.
Hours are 40 hours a week and does not align with school calendar dates.

The MHCB Success Coach provides mental health promotion and prevention to children, youth and families. Working as part of a team, this position develops and delivers developmentally appropriate, evidence based social emotional learning and mental health programming that meets the objectives of the MHCB initiative. Delivery of programming involves classroom programming and small group work in schools and community settings, and focuses on increasing knowledge, building skills and fostering abilities that enable students to better their own mental health and wellness.
This position requires someone who has been formally educated in the health or social sciences field (such as health promotion & prevention, social work, nursing, early childhood development, public health, psychology) and who is knowledgeable about addiction, mental health, FNMI and LGBTQ populations. Candidates must also be comfortable presenting programs to large groups within the classrooms to a variety of age groups, as well as offer engaging mental and physical health programs at lunch, after school and in the community.
