Job summary

AltaLink Management Ltd. is looking for a Substation Technologist/Substation Electrician in Rocky View County, Alberta. This full-time permanent role involves operating and maintaining substation equipment and supporting a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have relevant technical education and proven abilities in the electrical field. The successful candidate will also mentor junior employees and provide maintenance planning information.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a related Technologist Diploma program preferably in Electrical Technology.
• Willing to develop skills in the Substation Technologist/Power System Electrician discipline.
• Knowledge and adherence to safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain substation equipment.
• Assist and support other disciplines as required.
• Coordinate emergency responses to system emergencies.
