The ideal candidate will have strong NX and Teamcenter experience, a solid understanding of automotive exterior systems, and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Support vehicle exterior design development, including front fascias, grilles, exterior trim components, wheel flares, light bars, and related systems.
  • Utilize NX and Teamcenter to create, review, and manage digital product data throughout the development process.
  • Evaluate and improve design feasibility while preserving Class A surface quality and styling intent.
  • Support clay model development, mock-ups, and prototype activities by ensuring proper clearance between styling surfaces and underlying vehicle structures.
  • Manage packaging criteria and digital vehicle studies to support concept and production surface development.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve design and packaging issues.
  • Verify that vehicle designs meet packaging, tooling, safety, manufacturing, and integration requirements.
  • Support gap and flush development activities and design release milestones.
  • Participate in design reviews, feasibility assessments, and engineering approval processes.
  • Provide CAD data for prototype, milling, and rapid prototyping activities.
  • Track design changes and support release management activities within Teamcenter.
  • Present technical updates and support coordination meetings with design and engineering stakeholders.
  • Analyze competitive vehicle designs and industry trends to support future product development initiatives.
  • Escalate issues and drive resolution when design objectives and engineering requirements are misaligned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with NX (Siemens NX) CAD software.
  • Experience using Teamcenter or a similar PLM system.
  • Understanding of automotive vehicle design, packaging, and product development processes.
  • Experience working with exterior trim, molded plastic components, or vehicle exterior systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate design concepts into feasible engineering solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Class A surface development and design feasibility reviews.
