BMW Group in Canada is seeking a proactive Interior Trim planner to shepherd new products from concept to production. You will transform design ideas into robust, cost-effective manufacturing solutions while collaborating with engineering, production and other departments to ensure delivery performance and quality.

You will drive risk-based evaluations, lead trials and finalize processes, with a focus on achieving the defined quality standards and production readiness for bespoke customer

Formación

• Experience in a manufacturing role, preferably automotive/aerospace/marine.
• Knowledge of NPI, APQP and Project Management.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and engineering reviews and implement risk mitigations to ensure quality and delivery.
• Assess manufacturing feasibility, cost, quality, capacity, and readiness for concepts and bespoke features.
• Develop, improve and industrialize new and existing manufacturing processes.
• Plan and execute evaluation trials, prototypes and initial production to achieve required volume.
• Lead purchasing and commissioning of jigs, fixtures, tooling and equipment per project.

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Interior Trim planner to lead the introduction of exciting new products, bespoke customer features, and manufacturing innovations from concept through to production.

In this dynamic role, you will be at the heart of product development, transforming design ideas into robust, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions. Collaborating with multiple departments from engineering to production, you will drive projects that bring unique customer features to life while ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.

What awaits you?

• Participate in design and engineering reviews, conduct risk-based evaluations of production processes and implement risk mitigations to streamline the delivery of new products and satisfy the defined quality standards.
• Evaluate concepts and bespoke features, assessing manufacturing feasibility, cost, quality, capacity, and production readiness.
• Develop, improve and industrialize new and existing manufacturing processes.
• Plan and deliver evaluation trials, prototypes, and initial trial batch production through integration of a stable process capable of delivering the required volume output.
• Lead purchasing and commissioning of new jigs, fixtures, tooling and equipment as defined by each project.

What should you bring along?

• Experience in a manufacturing role preferably within automotive, aerospace or marine
• Knowledge of NPI, APQP & Project Management.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues
• Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Preferable ~ degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
