Job summary

OOTB Art Studio is looking for a friendly Studio Assistant to help with daily studio operations and events in Toronto. You will greet visitors, support classes, prepare materials, and keep the space clean and well-organized.

The role invites collaboration with a creative team and offers practical learning about studio workflows. The position emphasizes service quality, reliability, and part-time flexibility to fit evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Comfortable with cleaning, lifting and repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow procedures.
• Evening and weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, students, and event participants.
• Support class and workshop setup, including preparing materials, tools, and workstations.
• Clean and maintain pottery wheels, tables, sinks, tools, and common areas.
• Organize shelves, student pieces, supplies, and inventory.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and managing completed pottery for pickup or shipping.
• Support glazing, kiln-loading preparation, and other studio production tasks as trained.
• Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, and social media.
• Assist with private events, birthday parties, and community workshops.
• Help create a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.
• Perform general administrative and operational tasks as needed.
