Job summary

OOTB Art Studio in Richmond is seeking a reliable Studio Assistant to support daily studio operations and provide excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

You will help with class setup, materials, and inventory, while maintaining clean studios and assisting with events and workshops. This role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and a friendly, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Welcome and assist customers, students, and event participants.
• Support class and workshop setup, including preparing materials, tools, and workstations.
• Clean and maintain pottery wheels, tables, sinks, tools, and common areas.
• Organize shelves, student pieces, supplies, and inventory.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and managing completed pottery for pickup or shipping.
• Support glazing, kiln-loading preparation, and other studio production tasks as trained.
• Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, and social media.
• Assist with private events, birthday parties, and community workshops.
• Help create a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.
• Perform general administrative and operational tasks as needed.
