Algonquin College’s Ottawa campus seeks a Student Wellness Case Management Coordinator to support students facing complex mental health and wellbeing concerns. This non-clinical role focuses on support planning, navigation, advocacy, and resource coordination to help students access campus and community services.

The coordinator will work on-site at the Woodroffe Campus and partner with Counselling Services, Health Services, and other student support teams to promote engagement and success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Community and Justice Services, Sociology, or related discipline.
  • Registration with OCSWSSW is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-clinical case management through support planning, service navigation, advocacy, resource coordination, outreach, and ongoing engagement.
  • Collaborate with Counselling Services, Health Services, and other campus units to coordinate support for students.

Working collaboratively within and outside of Student Support Services including collaboration with Counselling Services, Health Services, The Centre for Accessible Learning, Housing Services, Student Success Specialists, faculty and community partners, the Student Wellness Case Management Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination for students requiring support from multiple services and systems.The role assists students in identifying goals, reducing barriers to service access, navigating campus and community resources, developing self-advocacy skills, and maintaining engagement with supports that promote wellbeing and engagement.The Student Wellness Case Management Coordinator does not provide counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis, clinical assessment, treatment planning, or therapeutic intervention. The role complements the work of teams and departments through coordinated support and service navigation activities. **Required Qualifications:** Education & Training* Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Community and Justice Services, Sociology, or related discipline. *A Social Service Worker diploma combined with significant directly related experience may be considered equivalent.** Registration with OCSWSSW is considered a strong asset.
