Job summary

University of Niagara Falls Canada is seeking an Undergraduate Event Ambassador to help plan, promote, and run events for undergraduate students. You will support Orientation activities, Welcome Week, and cultural events while promoting an inclusive, engaging student environment on campus.

Qualifications include being an enrolled undergraduate student in good standing and strong communication skills. Evening and weekend work are required, with a pay rate of $17.60 per hour for this part-time

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Niagara Falls Canada for the duration of the position.
  • Must maintain good academic standing.
  • Experience in customer service is an asset.

Primary Purpose

Under the direction of the Student Success Office, the Student Undergraduate Event Ambassador will work alongside the Student Engagement team to plan, advertise, and facilitate events for Undergraduate students at UNF. The Undergraduate Event Ambassador will also play a support role in New Student Orientation (NSO), assisting in advertising undergraduate activities and opportunities to their peers. The Undergraduate Event Ambassador position is an opportunity for students who are looking to engage meaningfully in the development of the undergraduate student experience and represent the university as a positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.

Position Summary
  • Take lead in the activity development, scheduling and logistics of undergraduate events offered on and off campus.
  • Develop promotional content and assist with marketing initiatives through digital platforms, social media, and campus outreach.
  • Collaborate with the Student Success Office team and leadership to ensure that events are welcoming, inclusive, and well‑organized.
  • Act as a key point of contact for undergraduate students in relaying feedback for future implementation.
  • Serve as a peer ambassador by promoting Student Success Office initiatives and encouraging participation across the undergraduate student community.
  • Support large‑scale university events such as Orientation, Welcome Week, and cultural celebrations.
  • Represent the Student Success Office in a professional, approachable, and student‑focused manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other student staff, campus departments, Registered Student Associations, and external partners when appropriate.
  • Assist with other Student Success Office initiatives and projects that enhance the undergraduate student experience.
  • Evening and weekend work will be required.

Opportunity Requirements
  • Enrolled as an undergraduate student within the University of Niagara Falls Canada during the entire duration of the position.
  • Preferred that at start date, student has completed one term.
  • Experience in a customer service role is considered an asset.
