Help us Inspire the Next Generation of Business Leaders!CPA Ontario is looking for a dynamic Student Engagement Specialist to help attract tomorrow’s business leaders to the CPA profession. Joining a dedicated student engagement team, you will engage with university and college students on behalf of the CPA profession and lead strategic recruitment initiatives that elevate their awareness of the CPA and why it leads to impactful careers that drive business and the economy forward. Collaborating with post-secondary institutions, employers, and industry professionals, the experiences you create, and the ongoing relationships you build, will ignite these student’s enthusiasm in the CPA designation, no matter where they are in their post-secondary education journeys.

Please note, this is a student outreach-focused role dedicated to the CPA profession and not a recruitment role in a Human Resources function.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Inspiring the next generation of CPAs. Champion the CPA profession, ignite student interest and create meaningful experiences and connections that build the profession’s pipeline of future business leaders.

Driving the Student Pipeline – Using innovative, results-driven strategies and tactics to strengthen the CPA profession’s presence on campuses across Ontario. Use data, data insights and industry best practices to build a strong pipeline of engaged students that are interested in becoming a CPA.

Inspiring Students to pursue the CPA – Delivering dynamic and engaging presentations that spark curiosity and interest in the CPA profession. Using storytelling, real-world insights, and interactive discussions to foster enthusiasm and engagement.

Cultivating Meaningful Relationships – Developing collaborative and meaningful relationships with post-secondary faculty, administrative staff, employers, and CPA Ontario’s internal teams. Leveraging these relationships to create innovative engagement activities for students.

Supporting Marketing Efforts – Working in partnership with CPA Ontario’s Marketing and Digital teams to help create, execute and amplify content that raises the profile of the CPA designation and attracts students to the CPA profession.

Organizing and Delivering High-Impact Events – Collaborating with key stakeholders to design experiences and curating content that inspires students, elevates the profession’s prestige and enhances recruitment efforts.

Leading and mentoring a team of Student Ambassadors – Managing a community of student ambassadors across Ontario university campuses, ensuring they support CPA Ontario’s engagement initiatives and represent CPA Ontario and the CPA with professionalism.

Who You Are:

A proactive, results-driven professional with a post-secondary degree, ideally in Marketing, Business, Education, or another related field.

Experience in student recruitment, sales, public relations, teaching, marketing, or communications, with a strong business acumen and a passion for driving growth, is essential.

A compelling communicator and presenter, adept at engaging audiences, fostering connections, and inspiring action.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with Salesforce and Power BI would be an asset.

A natural motivator and relationship-builder, skilled at creating meaningful partnerships and energizing those around you.

Highly organized and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments while managing events and initiatives with excellence and agility

Ready to embrace flexible hours and travel, ensuring CPA Ontario’s recruitment efforts reach the right audiences at the right time.

You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle that allows you to bring all presentation materials and other collateral with you to events. Some events are outside of traditional office hours.
