The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 exciting student opportunity from September 1st to December 31st 2026 within the Service Delivery branch at CATSA.

Student, Training and Certification Development

Number of Positions: 1

Term: September 1st to December 31st 2026

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Toronto YYZ

Salary: $18.15 to 30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education

Language Requirement: English Essential

Summary of responsibilities:

The Student, Training and Certification Development will contribute to implementing improvements to online training programs, while gaining hands‑on experience developing responsive training solutions and assessment tools. The student performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required, including supporting the broader Training and Certification Development team.

What you need to succeed:

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Enrollment in a college diploma or a university degree relevant to the duties of the position;
Skills and abilities:
  • Logical approach to problem solving;
  • Good visual design sense with an eye for detail;
  • Ability to explain basic technical matters in a clear and concise language;
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and organize work effectively;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Valuable skills include:
  • Understanding of web technologies, protocols and systems (i.e. HTTP, REST, JSON, CMSs, CRMs, Mobile Web, GIT etc.);
  • Experience developing AR/VR, mobile apps, desktop applications or games;
  • Knowledge of authoring tools such as Lectora, Captivate, or Articulate;
  • Knowledge of CATSA’s organizational structure, mandate, priorities, operating environment and its interrelationships with other internal/ external government and industry stakeholders will be considered an asset.
To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance;
  • Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student;
  • Be returning to full‑time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
