Job summary

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is seeking a Performance Officer to observe, record and report on Screening Contractor performance at the airport and other designated sites, ensuring compliance with all policies and directives.

The ideal candidate has post-secondary education related to the position, at least two years of regulatory inspections experience, and at least one year of report writing and recommendations to management.

Summary of responsibilities:

The Performance Officer is responsible for observing, recording and reporting on Screening Contractor (SC) operational performance at the assigned airport, and various other designated airports, in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures and directives. The Performance Officer performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

• Post-secondary education as related to the position.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting inspections or monitoring in a highly regulated environment where compliance to operating standards and procedures is critical.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience writing reports and giving recommendations to management.

Specific work requirements:

• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
