Job summary

CATSA is seeking a Regional Advisor, Deployment Planning and Execution to coordinate deployment tasks and scheduling across teams at Toronto-area sites. You will participate in program deployment, logistics, New Technology Introduction, Service Delivery and shippers, with on-site attendance to ensure successful delivery and Go-Lives.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field and 3+ years in technology deployments, with strong planning, liaison and travel willingness to support regional

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in project administration, logistics, technology, or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technology environment involving equipment deployments.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience scheduling, planning and project management for deployment, delivery and installation of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate deployment tasks and scheduling across teams including CATSA program deployment and service delivery.
  • Attend deployments on-site to ensure successful delivery, installation, testing and Go-Lives.
  • Travel extensively throughout the Region to support deployments and project tracking.

Summary of responsibilities:

The Regional Advisor, Deployment Planning and Execution supports Manager/Regional Leader to provide the overall coordination and scheduling of the various teams for project tasks including CATSA program deployment, logistics, New Technology Introduction, Service Delivery, Airport Authority, movers/riggers, electrical/data contractors, and shippers. In addition, the incumbent will be required to attend deployments on-site to ensure successful delivery, installation, testing, and Go-Lives. Extensive travel will be required throughout the Region.

What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in project administration, logistics, technology, engineering, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technology environment involving equipment deployments.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience scheduling, planning and project management for the deployment, delivery and installation (in a commercial or industrial environment) of heavy and complex pieces of equipment.

  • Experience planning and overseeing a schedule and project tracking activities.

  • Knowledge of root cause failure analysis of equipment.

  • Knowledge of logistics management practices and principles.

  • Knowledge of project management/administrational methodologies and tools.

Valuable skills include:
  • Knowledge of airport operations and the airline industry.

  • Experience in deployments related to aviation, security or screening technology.

  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.

Specific work requirements:
  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Language Profile: English essential

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance
