McGill University is seeking a part-time Student Project Assistant to support the Blacker-Wood Correspondence Collection Digitization project. Work is on site in the Redpath Library building, with 10 hours per week from September 6, 2026 to December 23, 2026.
The role involves digitizing archival material, using scanning equipment, performing quality control, handling rare items, and entering data into the project spreadsheet under supervision of the Digitization administrator.
The position is open to McGill's students only. Preference for McGill students eligible to Work Study Subsidies will be considered. Please indicate your faculty and program, your current year and expected graduation date, and include the confirmation of eligibility, when applying.
Hiring Unit: Digitization (Library Technologies). Building: Redpath Library building, Digitization lab. Work done on site.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) on a scale of 0-4.
Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma. Minimal or No Related Experience.
Hourly Salary: (AMUSE A) $16.70
