Job summary

GMG Fish Services Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking a Student Net Loft Worker in the Netting department based out of St. George, New Brunswick. The role supports stringing nets, keeping the Net Shop clean, and assisting shipper/receivers in summer.

Qualifications

• Must be a student and available for shift work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a production environment.
• Physically capable of light to moderate tasks.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform stringing of nets as required to support production operations
• Carry out general cleaning of the Net Shop to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Assist with maintaining shop cleanliness, tools, and equipment.
• During the summer months, assist shipper/receivers by maintaining cleanliness of the yard and helping with organization of the yard and storage building.
• Support organizing and general upkeep of outdoor and storage areas as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or damaged equipment to the supervisor immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Net Shop operations
