Job summary

Fidelity Canada is offering a student IT co-op opportunity within FCC IT. You will contribute to web and mobile development, gather requirements, and work in an Agile Scrum environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support current business/technology projects across business systems requirements, information gathering, analysis, and QA/test automation.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Work in an Agile Scrum framework, writing user stories.
• Identify enhancements, bug fixes or gaps to improve efficiency.
• Review processes and recommend improvements for productivity.
• Conduct research for new technology initiatives.

This part of Fidelity works with our clients (Introducing Brokers and Portfolio Managers) who hold various types of assets. How you’ll make an impact

As a student in FCC IT, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support current business/ technology projects in many aspects, including business systems requirements, information gathering, analysis, and quality assurance and test automation
• Work with the business users to gather requirements and assist with providing solutions
• Work in an Agile Scrum framework, writing user stories
• Identify potential enhancements, bug fixes, or functionality gaps
• Review processes and procedures and recommend enhancements for increased efficiencies and productivity
• Conduct research for new technology initiatives

What we’re looking for

Working towards a university degree with a concentration in Computer Science or related technical program, ideally in your 3rd or 4th year of study. A keen interest and knowledge of Web and Mobile development A desire to work on usability and client experience standards Strong understanding of Internet programming languages Angular and Java. Knowledge of Application Servers A creative aptitude focused on User Experience Design You must be enrolled in a registered co‑op program to be considered for this position You must be available on a full‑time basis for the duration of the term You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.

Competitive Pay for Specialized Talent

This contract role offers a flexible, hourly compensation model that reflects your expertise and the value you bring. The undergraduate IT hourly rate ranges from $25.00 to $29.00, based on experience and qualifications. We offer market‑aligned rates that recognize the specialized skills and agility required for this role.
