Job summary

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Student, Advisor Sales to support the sales team across Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. This co-op role focuses on understanding Fidelity products and assisting in identifying new business opportunities while building client service skills.

The position targets students pursuing a finance- or business-related degree, with strong interest in capital markets, and availability for a full-time co-op term. Competitive hourly pay applies.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a university degree in finance, commerce, economics or business.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the financial industry and capital markets.
  • Ability to manage short-term database projects and assist in sales initiatives.
  • Ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities from market intelligence.
  • Must be enrolled in a registered co-op program and available for the full term.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Fidelity products and services as presented to investment professionals.
  • Partner with sales teams to learn and understand the sales process from start to finish.
  • Learn about market trends from Fidelity portfolio managers via presentations.
  • Conduct fund analysis, create reports, and deliver presentations.

How you’ll make an impact: As a student in Advisor Sales, you will be working closely with the sales team in maintaining their high level of client servicing as well as assisting in identifying new business opportunities to further drive the business forward. What we’re looking for:

  • You are working towards a university degree with a concentration in finance, commerce, economics, or business
  • You have a keen interest and knowledge of the financial industry and capital markets
  • You can manage short term database projects and assist in various sales initiatives
  • You can identify and qualify sales opportunities by gathering competitive and marketplace intelligence
  • You must be currently enrolled in a registered co-op program to be considered for these positions
  • You must also be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term

Competitive Pay for Specialized Talent This contract role offers a flexible, hourly compensation model that reflects your expertise and the value you bring. The undergraduate hourly rate ranges from $23.00 to $27.00, based on experience and qualifications. We offer market-aligned rates that recognize the specialized skills and agility required for this role. We’re proud to offer a compensation package that aligns with provincial pay transparency requirements.
