Cenovus Energy is offering a 4-month student Deskside Support opportunity in St. John’s. You will assist with imaging and deployment, ticket handling, problem resolution, inventory control, and end-user support while collaborating with a regional IT team.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an IT or computer systems program, eligible to work full-time in Canada for the term, and available to start January 2027. Prior IT support experience is a plus. Local relocation considerations may apply.

Reporting to the Atlantic Region Manager, the Deskside Support Student supports the business unit’s operational needs. Individuals in this position must understand the latest concepts in the information technology field and possess great client service skills. Who you are

Education

Must be enrolled in an Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co‑op or internship program for the duration of the work term Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
