Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising students, reporting observations to staff, and supporting teachers during instructional activities. A professional first aid certification and relevant experience are required, with compliance to school policies on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Assistance in Health Care Facilities or a Secondary School Diploma or an equivalent diploma recognized by the competent authority.
• Have one (1) year of pertinent experience in areas requiring self-discipline, general concepts in psychology and human relations skills.
• Certificate of first aid and a refresher course issued within the last three years are required for compliance with school policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist handicapped students in participating in school activities.
• Help a student move between locations and ensure safety and well-being.
• Assist with feeding, drinks, and snack times as needed.
• Support student hygiene and basic needs, including bathroom assistance.
• Observe and report student needs and behaviours to teachers and staff.
• Supervise students during recess, meals, and rest periods and accompany to pool.
