Job summary

iA Financial Group seeks a Student or Intern Branch Coordinator to support client service excellence while developing skills in operations, administration, and process improvement. This role involves handling confidential documents, assisting advisors, and maintaining client databases.

You will gain exposure to financial products, collaborate via Teams and SharePoint, and contribute to process improvements in a hybrid Canada-wide environment. Strong French and English are required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in business/finance/accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and collaborative work environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Desire to learn CSC or financial services concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Process and organize confidential client documentation for non-financial updates and redemptions.
  • Analyze and resolve complex situations using sound judgment and escalation channels.
  • Communicate with clients and team members via phone, email, and collaboration tools.
  • Support advisors on projects using Teams and SharePoint.
  • Maintain client databases and generate AUA reports using Excel; ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in automating repetitive tasks using RPA tools and macros.
  • Gain knowledge of financial products (RRSPs, TFSAs, mutual funds, GICs).
  • Document processes and help onboarding/train new team members.

What you will accomplish with us
  • Process and organize confidential client documentation related to non-financial account updates and account redemptions while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze and resolve complex situations using sound judgment and escalation channels when required
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members through various channels, including telephone, email, and collaboration platforms
  • Support advisors and associates on projects by leveraging tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Maintain client databases and generate Assets Under Administration (AUA) reports using Microsoft Excel while ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and macros to automate repetitive tasks
  • Provide informed support by maintaining knowledge of financial products, including RRSPs, TFSAs, mutual funds, and GICs
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes, identifying optimization opportunities, and supporting the onboarding and training of new team members

  • Possesses an advanced level of French proficiency is required, as the incumbent will be required to communicate verbally and in writing with unilingual French-speaking clients on a daily basis
  • Possesses an advanced level of English proficiency, as the individual will be required to communicate verbally and in writing with English-speaking external and internal partners and clients across Canada on a daily basis

The typical hiring range for this position is $23.50 to $28,75 CAD per hour; the base salary offered varies depending on years of study and the position status (student or intern). At iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market-based compensation structure.
