Location: Anvil Office Tower, New Westminster

Salary Range: $18.42/hour

The Opportunity

The Student Assistant, Community Relations & Events will support the Community Relations Supervisor in organizing and preparing for upcoming events. The role is based in the Anvil Centre Office.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing internal and external events.
  • Collaborate on creative event concepts.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, volunteer forms, and event documents.
  • Promote events and support onsite setup and tear-down.
  • Provide onsite support, including working with volunteers and greeting guests.
  • Participate in post-event activities and data entry tasks.
  • Manage social media inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
  • Outgoing, social, and well-organized.
  • Physical stamina for event setup and breakdown.
  • Excellent writing, reading, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong time-management.
  • Design skills are an asset.
Eligibility

Applicants must meet specific criteria based on their student status, including enrollment requirements and legal documentation such as SIN and Study Permit.

Additional Information

Work hours: Up to 20 hours/week, including evenings and weekends. Work terms: Winter 2025 (Jan 6 - Apr 25), Summer 2025 (May 6 - Aug 18).
