Job summary

Scotiabank in Canada’s Toronto office is seeking a sales-oriented professional to support the Structured Notes business within Global Banking and Markets. You will engage with advisors and clients, generate leads, and collaborate with trading, structuring and product teams to deliver differentiated investment ideas.

The role emphasizes proactive outreach, market awareness, and accurate preparation of pitch materials, price ideas, and client meetings. Onsite, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of equity markets and investment concepts.
• Proven client-facing experience in sales or relationship management.
• Ability to generate leads and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and new business development across the Bank’s distribution network through proactive prospecting, campaigns and client outreach.
• Identify advisor and client needs and translate market views into actionable structured note ideas.
• Prepare market updates, product summaries, trade ideas, and sales commentary to support engagement.
• Assist in development, positioning, and distribution of structured notes originated by the Bank of Nova Scotia.
• Collaborate with Global Equity Derivatives Trading and Structured Notes Structuring teams to design client-focused investment solutions.
• Participate in pitchbooks, pricing, execution and post-trade inquiries for structured notes.
• Support day-to-day activities of the Structured Notes business with lead generation and expanding the client base.
• Work with product partners and control functions to improve the Structured Notes platform and automate processes.
• Ensure risk appetite and culture considerations are integrated into day-to-day activities.
