Job summary

Englobe is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist to join our Edmonton, Calgary or Etobicoke office. In this role you will prepare engineering drawings and assist in the production of construction documents for structural projects.

You will work with AutoCAD, REVIT and MS Office, applying knowledge of wood construction and design/drafting for multi-family, light commercial and commercial buildings. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of civil engineering technology diploma from an accredited school is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in the consulting industry.
• Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office with excellent general computer skills is required.
• Experience with wood construction design and drafting.
• Equivalent experience or education may be considered.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required.

• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings
• And other miscellaneous duties, as required
