Job summary

Englobe is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist to join our Edmonton, Calgary or Etobicoke office. You will contribute to design drafting for multi-family, light commercial and commercial buildings, and collaborate with project teams.

You will prepare engineering drawings, use AutoCAD and REVIT, and apply MS Office proficiency. A civil engineering technology diploma and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required, with wood construction knowledge strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of civil engineering technology diploma from an accredited school is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in the consulting industry.
• Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office with excellent general computer skills is required.
• Experience with wood construction design and drafting.
• Equivalent experience or education may be considered.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required.

• Participate in the production of construction document for structural projects.
• Communication and coordination with other sub consultants and members of the Project team.
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings
• And other miscellaneous duties, as required
