Our client, a design practice comprising architects, urban planners, interior designers, engineers, and landscape architects, is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer out of their Toronto office. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position, paying between 100-130k per annum, in addition to RRSP matching, parental leave top-up, competitive health and dental benefits, reimbursement of professional dues, and a generous vacation allowance.

How you'll make a difference:

• Act as a design engineer and project manager on various building projects.
• Follow all phases of projects from concept to construction.
• Provide high technical quality in designs, drawings, specifications, and fieldwork.
• Collaborate with the firm’s Specifiers to develop construction specifications.
• Work closely with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and partner firms.
• Prepare contract documents for tender evaluation.
• Build trusting relationships with clients and outside agencies.
• Recruit, mentor, and review work of junior team members.
• Manage projects with limited supervision and participate in planning.
• Supervise installation, modification, testing, and operation of structural designs.
• Provide Contract Administration support.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEO or similar.
• 10+ years of building design experience.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage deadlines, pressure, and multiple projects.
