Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Mississauga invites new graduates to join our Civil/Structural design team. You will support producing technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD, assist in layout development, and verify site conditions as part of project delivery.

Ideal candidates are graduating in 2027 or recently completed a relevant technical college program. You will grow skills through mentorship and project exposure in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduating 2027 or recently graduated from an accredited technical College program specializing in Civil / Structural design.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD software packages and design/drawing workflows.
  • Basic understanding of industry standards and codes relevant to structural design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing and maintaining technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Support conceptual layout work and development of design details.
  • Verify site conditions and dimensions as required; ensure safety considerations in design.

As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Assist in producing and maintaining technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software

  • Perform clash detection and ensure coordination with other disciplines
  • Verify site conditions and dimensions as required
  • Incorporate safety considerations into design work
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project scope, schedule, and quality requirements
You bring to the role:
  • Graduating 2027 or recently graduated from an accredited technical College program specializing in Civil / Structural design
  • Awareness and some experience of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages
  • Some background understanding of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to structural design
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated individual with an interest in developing and growing their technical skills
  • Interest in applying the skills developed during their technical education
  • Good safety awareness

Compensation:

Range: $62,000 - $65,000

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
