Job summary

ACT Energy Technologies LTD in Calgary (also serving Houston) seeks a strategic Vice President of Engineering to lead North American DD and MWD technology, driving strategy, excellence, and innovation across the organization.

You will oversee design, testing, reliability, and continuous improvement of drilling technologies, align with operations, and support customer success while building strong engineering teams and managing budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
P.Eng. or PE designation is required or eligible for registration.
MBA is an asset and may be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for engineering and technology functions.
Support safe, efficient, and profitable service delivery with operations leadership.
Lead design, development, testing, and improvement of DD and MWD technologies and tools.
Establish engineering standards, procedures, and QA programs.
Mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams.
