Job summary

Town of The Blue Mountains is seeking a Director of Corporate & Financial Services to lead the Corporate & Financial Services Department and act as Treasurer. You will guide strategic financial planning, budgeting, reporting, risk management, and IT/fleet/facilities oversight to support informed decision-making and service delivery.

The role requires CPA designation, a university degree in Accounting/Finance, and 10+ years in finance with municipal leadership experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation in good standing is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in finance with at least 6 years in a senior municipal financial management environment.
• Experience leading development, administration, and monitoring of a Corporate Tangible Capital Asset Management program.
• Experience providing leadership oversight of IT, fleet, or facilities functions and asset lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to support long-term planning and decision-making.
• Lead the Corporate & Financial Services department and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, and internal controls in line with PSAS and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and governance standards.
• Collaborate with Senior Management Team to align priorities and allocate resources.
• Provide financial guidance for major projects, agreements, and corporate transactions.
