Job summary

Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is seeking a seasoned Director of Financial Services / Treasurer. You will lead the financial and information technology functions, ensure PSAS compliance, and guide budgeting, reporting and audits while partnering with the senior management team.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, risk management and stakeholder engagement to advance municipal priorities. The role requires CPA designation and extensive public sector finance experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• CPA designation in good standing.
• 8–10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.
• Experience in municipal/public sector financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of PSAS and applicable legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, taxation and reporting.
• Oversee annual operating and capital budgets, financial statements and audits.
• Provide IT strategy alignment with corporate goals and senior leadership.
• Foster accountability, transparency and continuous improvement across finance and IT.
• Represent the Municipality with officials, auditors, consultants and the public.
