Job summary

The Town of The Blue Mountains is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the Operations Department, including roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, solid waste and asset renewal programs, reporting to the CAO. You will provide strategic leadership, oversee budgets, safety and compliance, and coordinate with Council, staff and external partners to deliver reliable municipal services.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related discipline, P.Eng.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Public Administration, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Infrastructure Management, or a related discipline.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility would be considered an asset.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Operations Department.
• Oversee planning, design, and renewal of municipal infrastructure and asset management.
• Lead budget preparation and financial reporting for operating and capital programs.
• Collaborate with Council, staff, and external agencies to deliver projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
