Job summary

The Town of The Blue Mountains is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the Operations Department, overseeing roads, water, wastewater, solid waste, and related infrastructure. You will guide strategic planning, asset management, and capital renewal programs while ensuring safety, compliance, and service excellence.

Reporting to the CAO, you will manage budgets, personnel, and cross-department initiatives to support sustainable service delivery and community priorities in a four-season

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior management role within municipal public works or related environment.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility would be asset.
• Strong leadership and governance capabilities with financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Operations Department.
• Manage budgets, asset management, and infrastructure renewal programs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate cross-department projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Support corporate priorities and public engagement.
