Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a strategic Talent Acquisition Leader to direct the Canadian recruitment function. You will lead a seven-person team, partner with senior leaders to align workforce plans with business objectives, and build scalable recruitment strategies for high-growth initiatives.

The role focuses on strategic talent acquisition, business partnership, and end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership of recruiting teams.
• Experience developing recruitment strategies within a fast-growing organization.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning and talent strategy.
• Demonstrated success leading major hiring programs, project mobilizations, or high-volume recruitment initiatives.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leveraging recruitment data, market insights, and technology to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business growth and workforce plans.
• Partner with leadership to forecast talent needs and build proactive hiring plans.
• Use recruitment metrics and market intelligence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead talent acquisition efforts for major projects, growth initiatives, and high-volume hiring programs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent strategy, market trends, and hiring challenges.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to deliver effective workforce solutions.
• Influence hiring decisions and ensure alignment between talent needs and business priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of seven Talent Acquisition professionals.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture that leverages individual strengths and supports growth.
• Establish clear performance expectations and development plans for team members.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment across multiple business lines and disciplines.
• Build diverse talent pipelines and innovative sourcing strategies for specialized and high-volume hiring needs.
• Ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process.
