Job summary

Symmetry Commerce is a remote-first Canadian Shopify Select Partner agency. As Account Manager, you’ll own a portfolio of Shopify merchants on monthly retainers, delivering ongoing optimization, coordinating specialists, and uncovering new revenue opportunities.

If that sounds like you, we’re looking for an Account Manager to join our remote team and help merchants grow with strategic guidance, quarterly reviews, site audits, and data-driven CRO plans.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in account management, client success, or growth marketing within ecommerce or digital agencies.
• Proven record managing Shopify Plus/Advanced brands with annual revenues of $1M-$50M/year.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders without dropping the ball.
• Comfortable analysing ecommerce KPIs and presenting ROI stories to C‑suite, founders, and marketing leads.

Responsibilities

• Own a book of 3–8 merchants on monthly retainers, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Lead the post-launch hand-off, crafting a 30–60‑day stabilize & optimize plan with clear goals.
• Drive strategy and growth through quarterly business reviews, site audits, CRO roadmaps, SEO initiatives, email marketing recommendations, and testing plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery - briefing designers, developers, and specialists; tracking tasks in Asana; ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.
• Demonstrate proactivity by implementing client requests and moving forward initiatives within your field of expertise.
• Monitor performance data (conversion rate, AOV, revenue, LTV) in GA4, Shopify, and other priority platforms, translating insights into action.
• Maintain retainer health by balancing task intake with hours burned, tidy backlog, and margin protection while maximizing client value.
• Identify expansion opportunities (upsell projects, increased retainers, partner apps) and collaborate with Sales to grow retainers each quarter.
• Document everything - call notes, tasks, forecasts - in Asana and other systems for full team visibility.
