Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to plan and oversee end-to-end delivery of assigned projects in Calgary, with a focus on scope, budget, and regulatory compliance. The role includes supervising project administration and coordinating teams, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of PM experience with a track record of delivering on-time and on-budget, and strong communication and negotiation skills in English.

Qualifications

• College or University degree preferably in architectural technology, construction technology, engineering technology or equivalent work experience.
• More than 5 years of project management work experience.
• Advanced ability to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, within specifications and in compliance with all requirements including regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Advanced ability to develop and manage project budgets.
• Advanced ability to mitigate and manage project risks.
• Highly advanced ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
• Highly advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly advanced ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders.
• Highly advanced ability to manage client relationships and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects with moderate to high complexity and risk.
• Defines project scope, deliverables and requirements with stakeholders.
• Develops and implements project plans and timelines.
• Determines resource and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Identifies risks and develops mitigation and contingency plans.
• Monitors delivery against timelines and ensures timely completion.
• Oversees project team members and monitors task completion.
• Communicates project status to stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Develops and maintains client relationships and manages expectations.
