Job summary

Capital One Canada is seeking a Sr. Manager, Relationship Management to build and maintain a robust pipeline with FinTech and industry partners.

You will lead as the Discover payment network liaison to identify opportunities and drive growth across prepaid, credit, and debit programs. You’ll cultivate executive relationships, negotiate agreements, analyze market trends, and manage risk while partnering with internal teams to expand network transaction volume and revenue.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Strategy, Payments, Relationship Management or Marketing.
• 8+ years of technical expertise (i.e.; mobile payments, SRC, payment chip technology, IOT emerging technologies) to support digital partners

Responsibilities

• Identifies leads, develops proposals, responds to RFPs and negotiates to maximize network growth.
• Creates business cases to establish new development activities with internal and external partners.
• Maintains relationships with key decision-makers across participant companies and acts as liaison to Discover.
• Manages risk and customer-impacting issues within the role and escalates when needed.
• Explores new partnership opportunities and grows a portfolio of clients to drive volume and revenue.
• Keeps knowledge of partners, industry trends and competition to recommend actions to improve Discover's position.
• Supports internal processes for account management, approvals, and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance and risk management.
• Travels up to 50% of the time.
