Job summary

GE Grid Solutions, LLC in Markham, Ontario, is hiring a senior procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement activities for projects. The role requires 5+ years in procurement, SAP purchasing expertise, and advanced Tableau/Excel skills, with on-site responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration.

You will coordinate supplier records, issue POs, manage RFQs, negotiate contracts, and monitor KPI-driven spend and delivery performance. Local travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in procurement.
• 5+ years of SAP purchasing experience; advanced Excel, Tableau and related tools.
• Experience with KPI tracking, spend analysis, supplier performance monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities aligned with project plans and supplier lead times.
• Communicate procurement status to project and leadership teams.
• Manage supplier records and documentation in purchasing systems.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders and change orders; resolve invoices.
• Monitor supplier progress, expedite deliveries and escalate issues.
• Lead RFQ submissions, follow-ups and negotiations for cost savings.
• Support contract negotiations and upload contracts to the Oracle Contracts Database.
• Escalate supplier quality issues and recover costs from non-conformances.
• Ensure procurement data and forecasts are reflected in reporting tools.
• Drive on-time delivery performance and escalate risks as needed.
